Many students have walked through the Catholic Student Center doors at St. Elizabeth's. All of these students have had a special memory, night, event or conversation here. Students at St. Elizabeth's take home a sense of family and belonging when they leave after graduation. Which sometimes can make it tough to leave. The friends and memories made with your fellow students at the Student Center will never be forgotten. We want to hear from you as Alumn, your favorite moments while you were a student about the place and people that mean so much to you. We will select some of your memories and host them on this page.

Musings from a CSA alum. . .

As I think about those friends I call on to share a success, or those I turn to when I am hurting, I am reminded of the impact CSA has had on my life. As I look at all the roommates, bridesmaids and groomsmen, husbands and wives, godparents and in-laws that have resulted from the friendships and bonds started in the Catholic Student Center, I am utterly amazed. And truly thankful for the Mystical Body.

I am fortunate enough to still be a parishioner at St. Elizabeth’s in Lubbock and see first-hand the amazing ministries of the CSA groups that are still going strong – and thriving more than I could have imagined when I became involved in the mid-90s. Recently I have been asked to join the Catholic Student Center Advisory Board and that has opened my eyes to even more remarkable happenings for CSA.

This is my heart-felt appeal from one CSA alum to another. . . think about those time spent in Lubbock rejoicing and praising and praying. Then think about those people you turn to share your successes and your heartaches. Think of where you would be without those times and those loved ones. Think about how you want those moments and those “awakenings” for other students at Texas Tech. Then pray about how you can give back to an organization that gave you so much.
